Cancellation Policy

Will I be participating or just watching the Chef prepare the food? Our Little Genius Club classes are completely participatory, or at least mostly so. This means that the Session Leader’s camera will be on and the participants will be asked to put their camera on and mic muted until asked to unmute. The children will be encouraged to interact with the session leader and other participants (where appropriate). Do I need to bring anything to class with me? Pre-weighed dry ingredients and illustrated child-friendly recipe booklet will be posted to each participant before the day of the class. The fresh ingredients will need to be purchased, weighed and ready for the class. Cooking equipment will also need to be ready for use for the class. What can I expect during a typical class? Most classes last approximately 90 minutes. Workshops and series of classes are generally 3-4 hours each because they are more in depth. What is your cancellation policy for classes? Cooking class are just like purchasing theatre tickets. We staff and make purchases on your behalf in advance of the class regardless of your actual attendance. We also have limited space which makes it important for us to have an exact guest count since we often must turn away potential students when classes fill. Because we are a 100% reservation-based business, we must adhere to a very specific policy regarding cancellation. Please carefully review this policy below: If you cancel up to 3 days (72 hours) prior to your class, a refund will be issued in the form of store credit only. Within 72 hours prior to your class we CANNOT ISSUE REFUNDS OR CREDIT under any circumstances as we have very limited space available and require advanced reservations for all classes. In the event that we have a waiting list and can fill your space we may issue credit to you, but it is not a guarantee that we will be able to do so. Don’t forget – you can always send someone in your place if you can’t make it, simply let us know and we will make an adjustment to your reservation. We reserve the right to cancel any class, at any time, for any reason. We make every effort to give as much advanced notice as possible in the rare event we have to cancel a class. Your payment will be refunded in full or you may request credit or transfer of payment to another class. If you are signed up for a series of classes, please note that no refunds will be given after the series has begun, regardless of circumstance because space is limited in these series. The class that I want to take is full! Can I be placed on a waiting list? If you’d like to be placed on the waiting list for a full class, please email hello@littlegenius.club and we will place you on the list. If space becomes available, we will notify waiting list names in the order they were placed on the list. I missed out on a class that I’d really like to take. Will you be offering it again? Yes, most of our popular classes will make a repeat performance on our schedule at some point. If you missed a class and would like to be notified when it is offered again, please email us at hello@littlegenius.club I have a gift certificate! Great, we will be happy to assist you with using your gift certificate towards the purchase of classes or retail items. Please email us at hello@littlegenius.club and we will get you started! Other Policies We reserve the right to cancel a class at any time due to insufficient enrolment, illness or in case of an emergency. Cancelled classes may be rescheduled, or your payment can be transferred towards the purchase of a different class. Our staff makes every effort to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for you and will occasionally make adequate substitutions in that pursuit. If you have dietary restrictions, allergies or other important needs that should be brought to our attention, please make us aware of those at the time of booking your class so that we can send appropriate ingredients. We cannot make substitutions once the ingredients have been posted out to you. Little Genius Club cooking classes are intended for those that are 5 years of age or older with a parent supervision.
