Do your kits contain soy?No. None of the ingredients we include in the kits contain soy

Do your kits contain plastic?We do our best to ensure that are products and packaging are sustainable. There is laminated coating on our boxes and printed resources enable these products to be long-lasting and reusable, rather than being single use, disposable items and minimises their environmental impact. Our 'Kitchen tool of the month' is quite often made from or contain silicone which is more environmentally friendly than plastic in kitchen applications.

Are Little Genius Club kits nut free?Not all Little Genius Co kits are nut free, however we always send an email with a list of allergens before sending out that month’s kit to your Little Genius. If you wish to skip that month please just log in to My Account and select Subscriptions from the menu on the left. From there you can skip that month’s cooking kit, please email us at support@littlegenius.club Please note: if nuts are not mentioned as a specific allergen our kits are still packed in premises that handles nuts so we cannot guarantee they are 100% nut free.

How is Little Genius Club responding to Coronavirus?All our boxes are packed to the highest possible hygiene standards and our team earnestly follow comprehensive advice and processes. Our boxes are delivered via Royal Mail and we are monitoring the advice regarding post services and deliveries closely. Do I need additional ingredients?Your Little Genius Club box contains all the dry ingredients you need to make the 2 baking recipes for that month. There are some fresh or seasonal ingredients required, this can include butter, milk, eggs, oranges. We will send an email to you before your kit is shipped to let you know the additional ingredients that are required with the aim to give you as much notice as possible. If you encounter any difficulties obtaining any of the fresh ingredients, email us at support@littlegenius.club and we will help you find an alternative ingredient that will make sure the exciting learning experience can continue!

How will my order be delivered to me?The cost of our kits and the items in our Little Genius shop are inclusive of standard postage. We send our cooking kits via Royal Mail, second class post as standard.

When will my order arrive?If you select standard shipping your order will be sent out by Royal Mail 2nd class post within 2-3 days of your order being placed (unless you have selected a specific shipping date). If you select Express Shipping we will send your first delivery Royal Mail first class. Order before 1pm and your cooking kit will be sent out first class the next working day (estimated delivery time 1-2 working days) If you are ordering a subscription, subsequent kits will be dispatched second class, on or close to the monthly anniversary date of the plan. Shop items are sent via a Royal Mail tracked service and you will receive a tracking number via email or text message (if you’ve provided a phone number) Please be aware that as much as we would love to, we cannot guarantee the speed of the postal service and particularly during these uncertain times postal services are experiencing bottlenecks in some areas. We will always try our best, just like your postie!

How do I place an order for multiple gifts?Every Little Genius is special to us and we take pride in the fact that we send a personalised note with each order, So, we ask that each gift order is placed as a single order. This ensures that each order is assigned a unique order number and there is no chance of a mix-up. As postage is free this won’t incur any additonal cost, it just makes sure that we are sending your Little Genius the right personalised note.

Should I include the gift recipient’s email in my order?We would recommend you provide the gift recipient’s email address so we can send useful information on allergens and ingredients. No contact will be made until the first kit has been delivered – we don’t want to ruin the surprise!

What ages are the kits aimed at?Our kits and learning experiences are designed for children aged 5-11 years old/ Key Stage 1. Younger children will require more support in preparing the recipes and completing the S.T.E.M activities. Older children will be able to make most recipes and complete the S.T.E.M activities independently. You’ll know best what level your Little Genius is at. We design our recipes and learning experiences so that there is robost fun for everyone, even the family time activities.

What is the shelf life of each box?Each kit has a shelf life of at least 3 months. This means you can store the box in a cool, dry place until it suits you.

What makes your cooking kits healthy?We are passionate about healthy eating and do our best to ensure that our ingredients are nutrient dense. We use high fibre flours, limit the use of refined sugars and recommend the use of in season, local priduce in our recipes.

Can I cancel my subscription?Yes. You are not locked into anything and can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account or contacting us at support@littlegenius.club Our subscription plans do automatically renew but if a payment goes through without you wanting it to just contact us as soon as possible and we will refund you in full if the kit hasn’t already been sent out to you. If you are part way through a subscription plan and want to cancel we will refund based on the value of the remaining months. We will never make you recieve kits you don’t want!

Can I cancel 3, 6 & 12 month subscriptions?"If you’ve paid for a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription it can be skipped at anytime, meaning we will cancel the next automatic renewal of your subscription. If you want to cancel mid-subscription, for example, if you are moving away, please just let us know – we will never make you receive boxes you don’t want and will refund you the difference!

What if my child has allergies?We email all customers before we send out that month’s kit with the ingredients and the details of any allergens, so that you have the opportunity to skip that month. We will always try our best to find an alternative if you do not want to skip for any reason. Our kits are packed in an environment where nuts and products containing gluten are handled. As much as we would love to give absolute guarantees on this we are currently unable to so we would always advise you to err on the side of caution.

Will my child need help making the recipes?Yes, though how much depends on your child’s age and ability. You will be the best judge of how much help your little cook will need but we come from the philosophy of trusting kids to know their limits and to ask for help when they need it. Having said that you should supervise at all times and give particular assistance when using the oven/hob and knives. Check out our blog on cooking skills by age for a bit more info on this.

Do I need any special equipment?Our illustrated recipe cards include the equipment you will need for each recipe. The only special equipment you may occasionaly need is a food processor or blender. Other than that just the kitchen basics such as mixing bowls, spatulas and measuring spoons will be needed for kitchen based learning experiences.
